The Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) community is excited to welcome all of the new Mustangs to campus! The FSL community is home to 35 organizations across 3 different councils, each structured to meet the unique needs of the student members. These social interest fraternities and sororities are nationally recognized and affiliate with the FSL office.
Each fall quarter, all 3 councils and their respective organizations, recruit new members to join the community. During the first 3 weeks of classes, each chapter will be hosting events that are open to potential new members. At these events, students have the opportunity to meet current members of the fraternities or sororities and learn more about each chapter’s values, the events, and membership expectations. Each council and respective chapters’ recruit differently. The Panhellenic Council (PHA) requires registration for what is known as “PHA Formal Recruitment”. Those interested should sign-up for formal recruitment and attend the orientation on September 22. The United Sorority & Fraternity Council (USFC) are the culturally-based fraternities and sororities and this recruitment process is informal. All USFC chapters will participate in a recruitment Kick-Off event on September 24 as well as host their own individual chapter events that will provide additional information. The Interfraternity Council (IFC) hosts “IFC fraternity rush”, which kicks off with an orientation on October 6.
The FSL Community believes that you will find your home away from home within one of these fraternities or sororities. Follow @CPGREEKLIFE on Instagram for links to recruitment registration.
