Former Cal Poly cornerback and current Dallas Cowboys defensive back Courtney Brown was tabbed Friday by a Dallas Morning News blogger as the Dallas Cowboy most likely to ’emerge from obscurity’ to become a ‘big-time contributor’ in 2008.
“(The game seems) a lot slower now,” Brown told the Dallas Morning News. “My first year, I was concentrating on myself, and where I was supposed to be. Now I can see a lot more, I can see the offense, what they’re going to do when they motion, being able to see everything instead of focusing just on the little things.
“It’s a big jump, that first year, you’re getting used to everything, worried about what you’ve got to be, what the plays are. Now that I’ve got a year under my belt, I’m seeing things a lot quicker and getting settled in a lot faster than I was last year.”
Last season, Brown was credited with six tackles in eight regular-season appearances.
