Mustangs, meet your new president.
Joi Sullivan was named Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) president Thursday morning in the Julian A. McPhee University Union, winning 2,716 of the 4,300 votes cast.
Sullivan’s campaign team erupted in cheers as Daniel Wasta, her campaign manager, enveloped her in an embrace from behind.
“(I feel) pure jubilation. It kind of feels like a dream, a little bit. I’m thrilled, obviously,” Sullivan said. “It means the world, and I’m so looking forward to serving Cal Poly students next year in the role of ASI president.”

With 2,716 votes, Joi Sullivan won the Associated Students Inc. president race. Twenty three percent of the student body voted in the election.
