It’s that time of the week again when we tune in to the sounds of Cal Poly. Here’s what you guys were listening to this morning.
Cody Lee, mechanical engineering senior
“Say My Name” by Nate Dogg, Eminem, Xzibit
“It gets me pumped up for basketball games,” Lee said. “I’m a big Eminem fan and I don’t know, it just reminds me of when I was a child.”
Robby Hubilla, electrical engineering senior
“Ritual Union” by Little Dragon
“It’s really mellow,” Hubilla said. “It’s got really good electronic elements to it. It’s really dancy too and it had really good vocals.”
Jacob Gerhardt, nutrition science senior
“Long Live” by Devan DuBois
“It’s fun to listen to and it’s kind of like American folk, which is the genre I’m into,” he said.
TJ Badford, nutrition senior
“Ain’t Gotta Work” by Hoodie Allen
“It has a catchy beat and it’s just easy to conduct my studying while still having background noise going,” Badford said.
Sarah Locati, sociology freshman
“Levon” by Elton John
“I’m listening to Elton John because this is what I grew up listening to with my dad when we would drive very long road trips up to Tahoe where he used to live,” Locati said. “I just got off the phone with him this morning so I thought, ‘What should I listen to? Oh, some Elton John because it reminds me of him.'”
