The 14th annual Heart and Soles Run will be held Valentine’s weekend at Cal Poly.
Psychology freshman and Cal Poly Triathlon Team member Madeline Johnson said anyone is welcome to join. There are several races including a 5k, 10k, 15k and a kid’s fun run.
Profits from the run help fund the triathlon team, and 20 percent are donated to the SLO Food Bank, she said.
“It not only gives back to people at school, but also in the community,” Johnson said. “You also get to go outside, get some exercise and have fun.”
There will be a canned food drive on location, as well.
Same-day registration begins at 7 a.m. on Saturday. Races start at 9 a.m.
Registering for the race can be done on the Heart and Soles website or in person at the triathlon team booth Thursday at Farmer’s Market.
