Cal Poly graduates Matt Canepa and Pat Pezet first thought of Grinds while attending Cal Poly, and came back to share what took their idea from a marketing assignment to a $1.4 million marketing success.
2. Mustang Minute: New Poly Reps announced
Poly Reps, a group of students that give campus tours and act as university representatives, has just welcomed 21 new members to their team. “We’re claiming this year is the year of the Poly Reps, because we have over 20 new members coming in,” business administration senior and Poly Rep Ben Dunbar said.
3. Red brick competition motivates to spend energy on converging
A friendly competition is being held between six red residence halls — Trinity, Muir, Sequoia, Fremont, Santa Lucia and Tenaya Halls — to see which building’s residents can be most efficient with their energy and water over a period of four weeks.
