The Beach Boys, presented by Pacific Coast Concerts, will take over the Christopher Cohan Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Thursday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
Owner of Pacific Coast Concerts Peter Kernan talked about how the famous music group is made of old and new traditions.
“They are The Beach Boys that exist in 2016,” Kernan said.
Today, the band consists of original members Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, and are now accompanied by Jeffery Foskett, Brian Eichenburger, Tim Bonhomme, John Coswill and Scott Totten, according to the PAC website.
“From a historical standpoint, students today weren’t around when they were mostly popular,” Kernan said. “But you can trace The Beach Boys influence through a lot of American rock music.”
Kernan also mentioned that the audience can expect them to play approximately 35 of their greatest hits in two one-hour sets. Concert attendees can expect to hear popular songs from years ago including “Surfin’ U.S.A,” “California Girls,” “Good Vibrations” and more.
