One of the United States’ only solar-powered movie theaters is right down the street. Since 2004, the Palm Theatre has been creating solar energy for PG&E that is used for the Palm, homes and other businesses in that area.

Reggae-punk band Pepper visits Mid-State Fair on Friday
The Hawaiian-bred, rock-reggae trio Pepper will be playing at the California Midstate Fair in Paso Robles this Friday. The band will play on the Grandstand as a special guest to another rock-reggae outfit, headliner band 311. The punk rock band The Offspring is also joining them on stage.
SLO shows pride in annual festival
The annual SLO Pride Week took place from July 4 to July 11 with a noticeably larger crowd. The week is held to celebrate and educate the public about the LGBT culture, pride and place in society.
