Controversial rapper Nas, who said “hip-hop was dead” in 2006, and Damian Marley, the first and only reggae/dancehall artist to win two Grammys on the same night, will perform together at the Avila Beach Golf Resort Oct. 17. Latin/reggae-rock band Rey Fresco is the opening act.
Rock the Vote landing in SLO
Rock the Vote is coming to Mission Plaza Sunday, Oct. 3. The event, which is presented by the student-run, nonpartisan organization GET OUT THE VOTE, will feature five hours of live music and speeches.
