Death of Cal Poly graduate Thiel will be memorialized Monday

Andrew Thiel is survived by his family in his hometown of Linden, Calif. after his death in a plane crash Oct. 15. A memorial for his death will be held in the University Union (UU) Plaza Oct. 25.

Cal Poly biological sciences alumnus Andrew Thiel died Friday, Oct. 15, when a single-engine plane went down in Baja California, Mexico, killing its crew which included members of the non-profit organization Flying Samaritans.
