I’d like to make a few suggestions to the next ASI president; first, the sky is the limit and don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.
ASI elections are a time to reflect on the direction Cal Poly is headed
I am happy to be politically neutral today — a first, I think, since I began writing my columns. But, as they say, there’s a first time for everything. I began thinking about who I will choose to vote for next week in the ASI Presidential campaign by asking myself similar questions as I do during national presidential campaigns.
A look into ASI president’s progress
Kelly Grigss was elected last spring as ASI president on a 5-point platform including affordability, statewide representation, sustainability, diversity, and student access to services. She has made strides this year by addressing each of these points.
Mustang Daily endorses nobody this year
They’re too much alike to differentiate between their overlapping plans and platforms. And, while all of them have good ideas, nobody stands out as a leader with the ability to follow through, certainly not enough to warrant a staff endorsement.

Current ASI Board of Directors member Kelly Griggs is running for ASI president in hopes of increasing communication between students and administration. Other issues of interest include sustainability, access to campus services and diversity.
