The University Police Department (UPD) issued a safety advisory today containing a composite drawing of the man who attacked a campus visitor in Poly Canyon Village on Sept. 27.
The incident involved an attack and attempted robbery on a male walking to his car in the Village Drive parking structure at approximately 12:15 a.m. The alleged attacker inflicted a superficial knife wound but fled after a brief struggle. University police arrived on the scene about half an hour later, according to the original police report.
Since the attack, the victim has worked with UPD and a sketch artist to produce a picture of the suspect to aid the investigation.
The safety advisory describes the suspect as a male in his mid-20s, approximately six feet tall, with sunken eyes and a thin build.
On Thursday, an email was sent to the student body, releasing the safety advisory and advising anyone with information to call UPD at (805) 756-2281.
