For the typical broke college student, $3,000 would go a long way. And one Cal Poly student got just that on a popular game show.
Colin Roth, a recreation, parks and tourism administration senior and member of Lambda Chi Alpha, went on the TV show “The Price is Right” with his fraternity brothers and scored big. He can’t say what prizes he won until the episode airs, but the total was approximately $3,000. This is the second time Lambda Chi Alpha brothers have gone on the show, and Roth said it’s an unforgettable experience.
“It was funny; they have these big cue cards that have your name on it, and they pull the cue card and I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s my name … Oh, that’s my name!’” Roth said. “To get there with 27 of your best friends, and everyone is going nuts for you on stage, that’s something I’ll probably never forget. It’s just unreal.”
The episode is set to air April 23.
