Actor Josh Peck was spotted in San Luis Obispo this past weekend. Mustang News sat down with the star, most known for his role on Nickelodeon’s “Drake & Josh,” for a Q&A.
Mustang News (MN): What brings you to San Luis Obispo this weekend?
Josh Peck (JP): Basically, I’m on the Pismo Beach humanitarian mission to better the lives of college students everywhere. Right now, it’s like a mini-study for the Cal Poly-Cuesta greater area, and I’m just getting to know the lives of normal post-adolescent people because as a child actor, I really have no semblance of reality in my child life.
MN: What are some of the things you like to do in SLO?
JP: I really like to go get SLODOCO and Teaberry because they’re both parts of the major food groups that are represented in my life.
MN: What are you working on in your career right now?
JP: I have a movie coming out next year called “Imagine” with Al Pacino, and I have another one coming out in February 2015 called “The Wedding Ringer” with Kevin Hart. I’m on “The Mindy Project” and I do a voice on “(Teenage Mutant) Ninja Turtles,” no big deal.
MN: What would you like to say to your Cal Poly fans?
JP: Study hard, love yourself and others, try to limit your alcohol and vote for me for SLO mayor.
