An unknown robber broke into the architectural engineering C-lab in Engineering West (building 21) and stole six computers during the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. April 15 to 16. The robber took the computers closest to the back door and cut cables that secured the computers to the desks, according to an email sent by architectural engineering department head Allen Estes.
The department is working to get the computers replaced, according to the email.
It was reported to the University Police Department (UPD) that six Mac desktop computers were stolen, estimated at $2,300 each according to university spokesperson Matt Lazier.
The email said UPD was in the lab for several hours on Sunday gathering evidence and a detective should be in Monday morning.
