1. Bubblegum Alley is never cleaned.
FALSE: According to the San Luis Obispo Downtown Association, the Bubblegum Alley sidewalk is power-washed every Friday morning. The walls of gum, however, remain untouched.

3. McCarthy’s Irish Pub is the top seller of Jameson Irish Whiskey in the United States.
TRUE: McCarthy’s is located on Marsh Street downtown and has been the top provider in the country since 2005. According to manager Collin Wenzle, they buy the most cases in America to meet the demand.
4. You will get arrested if you go into the crops fields and pick fruit.
TRUE: Horticulture and crop science students grow a variety of fruits and vegetables on campus grounds.

However, anyone can walk through the crops and stop by Saturdays from 10-1 p.m. for U-pick hours.
5. The Palm Theatre is the first solar-powered theater in the United States.
