The five Cal Poly football players arrested in connection with an attempted robbery at the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity house on Aug. 10 pleaded not guilty to all charges in court Monday.
Cameron Akins, Cortland Fort, Kristaan Ivory, Jake Brito and Dominique Love are facing charges of multiple counts of conspiracy to commit residential robbery in concert, attempted residential robbery in concert, attempted residential burglary, false imprisonment and resisting arrest by threat and violence, as well as several gun enhancements.
Ivory’s lawyer, Jacob Glucksman, contested that the wallet found in Fort’s car did not constitute an overt act and was not sufficient evidence to link Ivory to the crime.
The next court appearance is set for Oct. 1, where the defendants will be arraigned a second time and either agree upon a plea bargain or proceed to trial.
