Mustang News Staff Report
Local Rep. Lois Capps (D-CA) will meet with student members of Associated Students, Inc. on Wednesday to discuss issues of student-community relations, higher education and student loans.
“There are many federal issues that affect our universities, from student financial aid issues, federal research funding, to serving undocumented students, and addressing school safety,” Capps said in a press release announcing the meeting. “Congress should be working hard on behalf of our students to keep student loan rates low, to support Pell Grants and repayment programs, and to invest in education critical both to our students and to our economic future.”
The meeting will be in the Julian A. McPhee University Union at 3:15 p.m.
