Update July 1, 8:46 p.m.:
Cal Poly graduate Adam Lucero is in stable condition at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, according to eldest brother Brandon Lucero.
Though Adam is stable, he is still on a ventilator and sometimes goes in and out of consciousness, Brandon said. But, the family is still grateful for how he is doing.
“He’s in good spirits,” Brandon said.
In such good spirits that he writes out jokes to his family in the hospital as he cannot actually tell them while on a ventilator.
According to Brandon, Adam should be off the ventilator by Monday.

Cal Poly graduate Adam Lucero, 21, was stabbed multiple times by a homeless man named Delonte Anthony Hart, 23, inside the Santa Rosa Roxy Theater Wednesday afternoon, according to a Santa Rosa Police Department press release.
Hart came up behind Lucero as he was sitting and watching the movie and stabbed him several times before fleeing the scene. Santa Rosa officers located and took Hart into custody soon after. The stabbing was unprovoked and Lucero did not know the suspect, the press release said.
According to the press release, Lucero was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
Lucero graduated from Cal Poly this past spring. His family has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover medical expenses.
Hart’s motive for the stabbing is still unclear and Santa Rosa police are continuing to look into the situation.
