You know how much it costs to own a domain? Well, it really depends on if it’s taken already and if the person deems it valuable. There is actually this odd business of buying up unused domain names and sitting on them until someone comes around wanting it, and then you sell if for thousands of dollars. If it’s unwanted and not taken, it’s about $10 a year. (Now there’s a profit!) Give or take some money depending on who you go through to purchase the domain name.
Why am I talking about this? Because there is this odd little group of domain names that literally only serve two purposes: answering questions and making you laugh.
Here are some examples that I find amusing and seriously question who is spending $10+ a year on them.
Is it going to be okay? Yes. And this site gives you a seemingly endless roll of people giving you a thumbs up and saying it’s going to be okay.
Is it Christmas? I really regret not remembering to check this site on Christmas.
I kid you not that I didn’t intend to put this, but then I wondered, “If there is a Christmas site, is there a Halloween?” The answer? Yes. It’s also really, really orange. There’s also one for Valentine’s Day.
I found these through friends and then eventually just by typing it into my URL field and adding a “.com” to it.
Yes, that’s only three links, but I am hoping some of you lovely readers will be adding much more in the comments. If not, it looks like I need to find something much more interesting and engaging for my next blog. I’m still in “vacation” mode.
See you later! Same Mustang channel, same Mustang time. (That’s 10 minutes after the hour.)
