The Pride Center is holding a Trans* Fashion Show on April 4.
The event will include more than just fashion, Pride Center graduate assistant and event organizer Bryan Pride said.
“It’s a celebration of identities to inform and empower people while creating a dialogue,” he said.
The Pride Center wants to provide information to help trans-identified people understand the proper ways to represent gender identity, he said.
Trans-identified fashion designer Victoria Vu will attend the event. Vu will work with transgender students on how to alter their clothes and help them pass in their new identity, he said.
“We’re all very excited about what it’s about to be like,” Pride said.
Admission is free. The show is from 6:30-8 p.m. at 550 Dana Street.
