The San Luis Obispo Police Department reported 10 vehicular burglaries that took place Monday night on Chorro Street, Foothill Boulevard and Broad Street.
The thieves primarily stole stereo equipment from the vehicles, which police said were older Hondas and Acuras.
There was no sign of forced entry and police believe the burglars might have used a modified key or tool to break into the vehicles.
Police said there might be several other burglaries that have not yet been reported.
Police encourage the victims of the thefts to report them to the San Luis Obispo Police Department. They also suggest that the public make sure their vehicles are secured and that no valuable items are left in plain view.
