The Cal Poly women’s basketball team used 43 points off the bench to take down UC Irvine 92-87 on senior night at Mott Athletics Center. Four players, including seniors Molly Schlemer, Jonae Ervin, Nwamaka Ofodu and junior Ariana Elegado were honored prior to the game. With the win, the Mustangs (16-12, 10-5 Big West) retained possession of second place in the Big West Conference standings.
Ofodu sings the national anthem prior to Saturday’s game. She scored 10 points in her final home game.
Elegado drives in the first half of Cal Poly’s win over UC Irvine on Saturday. Though she is a junior athletically, she will graduate this year and therefore was honored before the game. Elgado scored nine points in 34 minutes of play.
