Mustang News reporter Ashley DeVriend went to the 6th annual Housing Fair. Cal Poly students were able to walk from booth to booth on Dexter Lawn, getting more information about different housing options.
Journalism freshman Rachel Sun said, “If you get a punch card and get 10 punches then you get a free barbeque.”
Students not only earned a free barbeque lunch, there were also local restaurants handing out coupons and deals that students can take advantage of. California Pizza Kitchen and Woodstock’s Pizza both had a booth set up. University Housing also had a booth, reminding students that they are a source if anyone needs help finding the right place to live.
University Housing Ambassador Erika Segal said, “We’re just here at the Housing Fair representing University Housing, and then giving freshman and upperclassmen options if they want to live on campus. We have a little more information about PCV if they are interested in it, and then we also have brochures for off campus if they choose to do that.”
Off campus housing booths were there as well including Valencia, Stenner Glenn, and Mustang Village Apartments. If you need help finding a place to live next year, you can go to housing.calpoly.edu.
