“Putting Sustainabililty to Work” | July 31- Aug. 3, 2008
Each year, the California State University, University of California and California Community College join for a state-wide sustainability conference for the state’s higher education system.
This was the first year the conference was hosted at a CSU. The event’s main keynote speaker was Jerome Ringo, a world-leading environmentalist and president of the Apollo Alliance.
More than 1,100 people turned out for the event, including a last-minute visit from California’s Lt. Gov. John Garamendi who also gave a speech at the opening ceremony. Garamendi recently announced he would make a bid for governor in 2010.
