Iron Man: But things could be changing for Marvel as they prepare to release future "X-Men" films, a possibly better "Hulk" film and this week, "Iron Man." Although the film’s director, Jon Favreau, has already failed once with a Marvel film ("Daredevil"), having the writers from "Children of Men" onboard give "Iron Man" some hope. Throw in a humorous performance from Robert Downey Jr. and you have what could be an actually entertaining Marvel flick. |
Made of Honor: While the trailer boasts a few laughable moments, the number of overused cliches packaged into "Made of Honor" is apparently unbearable, according to critics. And even though the film is directed by a great British comedy writer, the writing team behind "Made of Honor" only has "Surviving Christmas," a 2004 Christmas flick that made Ben Affleck look even more terrible, to "boast" on their resumes. Be an honorable moviegoer and avoid at all costs. |
Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed: The film is slightly controversial as many have called it factually inaccurate and a waste of time, but when you put Ben Stein in a documentary about how intelligent design teachings are being pushed out of classrooms, whether you agree with the idea or not, you have an interesting topic for a film. The only issue you might have being a college student is that it may bore you to death and Stein’s monotonous narration certainly won’t help. |
