That’s right, Cal Poly. Jason Mraz “is yours.”
Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz is set to play the Christopher Cohan Performing Arts Center (PAC) on March 19.
The two-time Grammy award winner and multi-instrumentalist will play as part of the event “A Rare Acoustic Evening with Jason Mraz and very special guests Raining Jane.”
” … join us in March for an intimate run of shows and experience some of what’s to come on #album5!” Mraz said on his website.
Cal Poly Arts Director Steve Lerian said Mraz and Raining Jane came to them about the show.
“Normally, honestly, he would never play a venue this small,” Lerian said. “I think what they told me was he was feeling like he was never going to be able to play these kinds of venues again. He’s sort of a coffeehouse guy at heart.”
Mraz is known for hits such as his 2002 single “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)” and “I’m Yours” from his third studio album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.
After his international success from “I’m Yours,” Mraz released his 2012 album, Love Is a Four Letter Word.
Independent rock-folk band Raining Jane will join Mraz on stage.
