Interfraternity Council (IFC) winter recruitment begins Tuesday with a kick-off barbecue on Dexter Lawn at 5 p.m., IFC director of recruitment and agricultural business junior Riker McClaskey said.
“All 17 fraternities will have their booths out at Dexter lawn,” McClaskey said. “There will be representatives from each fraternity. Every house will have most of their guys out there, and they’ll be handing out information about rush events for the rest of the week.”
Students interested in attending do not need to register beforehand, McClaskey said. He anticipates approximately 800 men will come out, similar to fall quarter’s tally.
“I think it gives a good chance for a kids that possibly did not come out in fall to come out in winter and see what greek life is all about,” McClaskey said.
Recruitment week will go until Feb. 4 when fraternities will give out bids.
