If you want to gobble up a good Thanksgiving meal in San Luis Obispo without roasting a 20-pound bird yourself, there’s good news: several local restaurants are offering holiday feasts. That means you don’t have to go cold turkey on good Thanksgiving eats.
Steamers of Pismo

Specials: Steamers features a non-fixed menu, unlike others. You can choose from a dinner of turkey, ham, prime rib, salmon, filet mignon or lobster tail.
Price: The turkey and ham meals are $30; prime rib is $35; salmon is $34; filet mignon is $38; and the lobster tail is $50.
Why you’ll gobble it up: “It’s great food, a great view and a wonderful staff,” said business administration junior Kristin Dykstra, who is a hostess at Steamers. “It’s an overall wonderful experience.”
Apple Farm
2015 Monterey St., 544-6100
Specials: A Thanksgiving holiday menu featuring traditional roast turkey and dressing, prime rib beef or honey-glazed ham. All meals include cornbread, soup or salad, mashed potatoes or roasted yams, vegetables, a slice of homemade pie and a non-alcoholic drink.
Price: $25.99 for adults, $14.95 for children ages 12 and under.
Why you’ll gobble it up: “The atmosphere here, service and the pies, definitely” were some of the reasons why Tracy Hessick, 19, who works at the Apple Farm, recommends the deal.
Hometown Buffet

Specials: As a full buffet, Hometown will offer its Sunday menu on Thanksgiving Day, which will include carved turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and more.
Price: By far the cheapest in town at $10.19 for adults.
Why you’ll gobble it up: “It’s super easy because you don’t have to make anything and everything you’d expect at a Thanksgiving dinner is here,” said service assistant Josiah Jenison, who is also a civil engineering junior.
Madonna Inn’s
Gold Rush Steak House

Specials: A holiday menu including roast turkey, honey-baked ham and roast Long Island ducklings.
Price: $27.95 for adults, $14.95 for kids
