The Chimney Fire, a 24,000-acre fire, has threatened more than 232 structures including Hearst Castle. The blaze erupted on Aug. 13 near Lake Nacimiento, and has destroyed 46 buildings and damaged seven more.
According to a tweet by Cal Fire PIO Daniel Berlant on Aug 21., 35 percent of the 24,096 affected acres have been contained.

Cal Fire has released evacuation orders for Christmas Cove, Oak Shores, Bryson Hesperia south of the San Luis Obispo County Line and reissued for Cal Shasta, Rancho Del Lago, South Shore Village and Bryson Hesperia Community north of Monterey County Line.
Hard Road Closures have been set up at Gaga Irving road north of Allen road, which affects Cal Shasta, Rancho del Lago and South Shore Village.
For the Bryson Hesperia community in Monterey County, traffic is closed west of road G14 (Tierra Redonda) on Lynch Canyon Road, according to Cal Fire.
Cal Fire is advising those who are fleeing to take any pets, medication and family valuables with them.

Cal Fire said the fire was estimated to be approximately three miles away from the national historic landmark on Saturday morning. Hearst Castle and its grounds have been closed to visitors indefinitely.
