In an effort to spread alcohol awareness, members of Interfraternity Council (IFC) and Panhellenic Council chapters will host the event Blurred Lines in the University Union Plaza from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday.
At the event, students will receive a chance to wear blood alcohol content (BAC) goggles, which create the visual effects of feeling intoxicated. Students wearing the goggles will then be asked to perform basic tasks such as walking in a straight line, catching a ball or writing their name.
There will be information available on alcohol abuse and statistics about college alcohol use, as well as activities to test how well students are able to spot the signs of alcohol poisoning.
