Week two of the government shutdown brought more vacationers to San Luis Obispo.
The closure of national parks, such as Yosemite National Park, forced travelers to revise their vacation plans. Some came to the Central Coast.
Lynne Biddeinger, San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce marketing director, said the city is seeing more visitors than usual.
Hundreds of people are coming to the Central Coast, looking for the best local places to spend their vacation.
According to Biddeinger, approximately 70,000 people travel to the Central Coast each year, but that number is already increasing because of the shutdown.
