Cal Poly announced today the three finalists for the position of university president to be filled upon Warren Baker’s retirement.
The candidates are:
- Dr. Sona K. Andrews, provost and vice president for student affairs and professor of geosciences at Boise State University
- Dr. Carlo Montemagno, dean and professor of engineering education at the University of Cincinnati
- Dr. Steven R. Angle, provost and professor of chemistry at Wright State University
The three candidates are scheduled to visit Cal Poly next week for student and faculty information sessions. Each day will feature an open student forum from 10:50 to 11:30 a.m., a faculty and staff forum from 1:10 to 1:50 p.m., a university and community open forum from 4:10 to 5:30 p.m. and a campus reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Andrews will visit the campus on May 23 and 24, Montemagno’s visit will fall on May 24 and 25 and Angle will visit on May 25 and 26.
