For the first time in Cal Poly history, a men’s tennis player was awarded the Big West Player of the Year award in two consecutive seasons. Senior Andre Dome took the honor on Tuesday after winning in 2012. This past season Dome earned a 21-2 record at the No. 1 singles spot and was undefeated against eight conference opponents.
Currently ranked as the 29th best player in the nation, Dome will play next in the NCAA singles championship, which begins on May 10 in Urbana, Ill. Junior Marco Comuzzo was also named to the Big West first-team, while senior Jordan Bridge earned an honarable mention.
