Conversations with Cal Poly Authors will present Jody Lisberger on Feb. 7 to discuss her book “Remember Love.”
“Remember Love” is a collection of short stories that tell the reader to never settle for less, Lisberger said.
“I’m very honored to be able to encourage Cal Poly students to, as Margaret Atwood would say, ‘Go for the jugular,’” Lisberger said.
Lisberger has been teaching at Cal Poly since Fall 2013 on the Susan Currier Visiting Professorship for Teaching Excellence.
Debra Valencia-Laver, professor and associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts, will be engaging Lisberger in the conversation about her writing.
“I look forward to hearing what she has to ask,” Lisberger said. “It’s fun to have an associate dean participate and ask you questions.”
Lisberger hopes students will take away how deep writing can go, she said.
“Writing is a big part of my life and a big part of who I am,” she said. “Writing really matters to me.”
The event is free and will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Robert E. Kennedy Library (building 35), room 111H. Refreshments will be served.
