Judgment day has come.
Well, not really.
But recently graduated Cal Poly receiver Ramses Barden is about to compete at the NFL Draft Scouting Combine, held in Indianapolis.
It runs from Wednesday through Tuesday and is televised by the NFL Network.
Receivers will complete most of their drills Sunday, according to NFL.com’s schedule.
As a behemoth target from a small school, the combine will be especially important for Barden, particularly in the 40-yard dash.
Teams who’ve reportedly spoken with Barden at length include the Ravens, Dolphins, Bucs and Packers. (You think the Packers had any scouts at Cal Poly’s game at Wisconsin?)
Those four teams’ interest had been previously reported by various publications.
By most accounts, Barden looked good at the State Farm All-Star Challenge, improving his stock and even making a sensational one-handed catch. You can see a few highlights of the showcase here.
Some mock drafts of late have him going to the Dolphins at No. 56 overall (at more than one place) and to the Giants at No. 91 overall.
Fans who’ve been expressing interest in Barden online in recent weeks include those of the Bears, Jets, 49ers, Eagles and Rams.
