This summer’s California Mid-State Fair will bring in a little something for everyone with heavy metal, classic rock and country music, according to the lineup released by the fair’s marketing and sponsorships director Tom Keffury.
Mötley Crüe will perform at the Main Grandstand Arena at 7:30 p.m. on July 25. They are most known for hits such as “Kickstart My Heart” and power ballad “Home Sweet Home.” The band announced two weeks ago that this will be their final tour, making this one of their last performances as a band.
Special guest Alice Cooper will open for Mötley Crüe. Ticket prices are still undetermined, but tickets will go on sale Feb. 20.
Classic rock band BOSTON will be the featured artist of the Fair’s annual “Evening of Music & Wine” concert on July 31 at 7 p.m. Over the last four decades some of their most notable songs include “More Than A Feeling” and “Rock And Roll Band.”
Ticket prices and a sale date for BOSTON’s show have yet to be announced.
Grammy-award-winning country singer Alan Jackson is also set to perform at the fair for a record-breaking 10th time at 7:30 p.m. on July 28 at the Main Grandstand Arena. In his 25-year career, Jackson had 50 Top Ten hits including “Here In The Real World” and “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.”
Rising country star Brett Eldredge will open for Jackson. Ticket prices and a sale date are still to be determined.
Free with fair admission are country singer Lee Greenwood, tribute band Mini KISS and The Mavericks.
Country artist Lee Greenwood will take the Frontier Stage on July 28 at 6:30 p.m. He is most known for writing the song “God Bless the U.S.A.”
Mini KISS is scheduled to perform on July 30 at 6:30 p.m. The KISS tribute band comprises of little people dressed in full costume and have been featured on “The Gene Simmons Family Jewels,” “The George Lopez Show” and “The Conan O’Brian Show.” They also will appear in the upcoming movie “Mall Cop Part 2.”
The Mavericks are an eclectic American band that combines neotraditional country music with Latin and polyrhythmic beats. They are most known for hits like “Here Comes The Rain” and “Crying Shame” and will hit the Frontier Stage on July 31 at 6:30 p.m.
The fair will take place at the Paso Robles Events Center this summer from July 22 to August 2.
