Cal Poly aerospace engineering freshman Noah Falck was recognized as a “Finish Line Hero” in the Boston Herald on Wednesday for his actions following two explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line.
Falck, a ROTC cadet, completed the marathon in a little more than three hours and was a block away from the finish line when he heard the blasts, according to a Cal Poly press release. According to the release, Falck returned to the scene, and aided safety officials in moving suspicious bags and packages from the area, as well as comforting victims of the blasts.
Falck could not be reached for comment as of Wednesday evening.
As of Wednesday, the blasts are reported to have killed three people — one being an 8-year-old boy — and injured more than 180 people.
