Cal Poly has invited two finalists for Orfalea College of Business dean to visit the campus for open forums.
Finalists for the permanent dean position are Richard Mathieu, the current associate dean for academic affairs for the College of Business at James Madison University, and Scott Dawson, the current dean of the Business School of Administration at Portland State University.
Mathieu’s open forum will be held on March 4 in the Advanced Technology Laboratories (building 007), room 2 at 4:10 p.m. Dawson’s open forum will be Thursday at the same place and time. Both are open to the public.
Participants and attendees at the open forums will be able to state their comments confidentially, according to Cal Poly’s academic personnel website. All comments must be sent by March 10 at noon.
Doug Cerf, the former chair for accounting and business law at Cal Poly, has held the interim position since July.
