Krieghoff shines early
The Cal Poly women’s soccer team, along with sophomore forward Elise Krieghoff, started the 2013 campaign on a tear. The Mustangs won their first four games of the season by a combined score of 15-2, a stretch in which Krieghoff tallied 10 goals. At that point in the year, the Clovis, Calif. native led the nation with a 2.5 goals per game average.
Men’s soccer drops USF, 2-0
With Week of Welcome in full swing, the students packed Alex G. Spanos Stadium Friday night to witness the atmosphere that has become a staple of Cal Poly men’s soccer games in recent years.
And with San Francisco in town for the fourth of a five-game homestand, the fresh faces on campus were treated to a 2-0 decisive victory by the home side.
