Despite a strong performance from starter Matt Leonard, the Mustangs fell to the 25th ranked Anteaters from UC-Irvine 3-1 on Friday night at Baggett Stadium. The loss snapped the Mustangs three-game winning streak.
ASI Elections commence
ASI elections began at 7 a.m. at Cal Poly yesterday. ASI set up voting stations at the library and the University Union to encourage students to get out and vote. Voting ends tomorrow at 7 p.m. and the winner will be announced shortly after.
ASI Board of Directors candidates: Part I
The College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences is comprised of 3,701 students and nine departments. There are five seats available on the Board of Directors for this college and voting begins on May 5.

Men’s tennis looks to bring home conference title
The Cal Poly men’s tennis team secured the number one seed in the upcoming Big West tournament with a 4-1 conference record during the year. The tournament begins on April 30 in Indian Wells, CA and the Mustangs will have a bye into the semifinal round because they are the top seed.
Offense edges defense in annual spring game
The offense defeated the defense by a 59-42 score on Saturday afternoon in the annual spring football game. The Mustangs will open the season at home against Humboldt State on September 4, which will begin the second season under head coach Tim Walsh.
Bowling more than just a recreational activity
The Cal Poly bowling club consists of seven members and competes in tournaments against teams primarily from the West Coast. Membership costs $100 for the club, but the fees may increase due to budget cuts.
Open House attracts thousands to Cal Poly
Thousands of prospective students and their families were on hand this past weekend to see the Cal Poly campus for Open House. The event attracted around 25,000 people for the campus showcase on Saturday with over 200 clubs on display.

Yoder’s single lifts Mustangs in extra-innings
Senior Luke Yoder singled into the left-center gap to give the Mustangs a 4-3 walk-off victory in ten innings on Friday night. The Mustangs evened their conference record at 2-2 with the win and look to win their first series on the campaign.
