Men's volleyball club ends season on high note

Despite a rough patch earlier this year, the Cal Poly men’s volleyball club team finished its season tied for fifth in nationals in April, its highest finish since placing ninth in 2004.

Additionally, four members were recognized as all-Americans.

“It was a great turnaround for us,” junior setter Brian Houlihan said.

Poly student diagnosed with chicken pox

The Cal Poly Health Center reported that a student living in campus housing had been infected with chicken pox, according to health staff.

The student originally sought treatment at a local emergency room, and upon returning to campus, the resident shared news of the illness with a resident adviser, who in turn reported it to health staff on Thursday morning.
