Students got up close and personal with the upcoming election by stopping at C-SPAN’s “Road to the White House” bus. Representatives who support different presidential candidates were also present to speak with students and hand out literature regarding respective candidates on Monday.

Since she was in third grade, Megan Harrison has played basketball.
“Basketball is my life and I don’t know what I’m going to do without it when I graduate,” she says.
Before moving to Dripping Springs, Texas, Harrison lived in Cambria with her family and played soccer because girls were not allowed to play on a basketball team until fifth grade.

ASI brings election to UU
Associated Students Inc. brought students together Tuesday in an effort to inform them about the upcoming presidential election and local and national politics as part of Rock the Vote 2008 in the University Union Plaza.
“Students need to get involved in politics because it’s our future that is involved with decisions that will be made,” said Dennis Esselsagoe, a public policy graduate student and secretary of legislative affairs for ASI.
Filmmaker kicks off Black History Month
