Top-40 duo a hit on tennis court

Sophomores Brittany Blalock and Steffi Wong, the Mustangs’ No. 1 doubles team, was ranked 38th in the country in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll and now stands at 17-6 overall and 8-3 in dual action this season.
Mustangs open week of home matches against Pacific
The two-week break between matches for the Cal Poly women’s tennis team must have come at just the right time for the Mustangs, who swept UC Riverside 7-0 and San Jose State 6-1 Saturday. They host Pacific at Mustang Courts at 11 a.m. Sunday.
“We had a chance to work on our fitness and get back in the weight room on a regular basis, which is hard to do when you’re on the road for a month,” said Cal Poly head coach Hugh Bream.

Last weekend concluded in both a slim win and loss for the Cal Poly women’s tennis team. The Mustangs sealed a 4-3 victory at Loyola Marymount on Friday but lost 4-3 at Cal State Northridge the following day.
“We played pretty well in both (matches),” Cal Poly sophomore Steffi Wong said.
Gear up for National Week of Engineering
