An attempted robbery was reported on Village Drive at the entrance of Poly Canyon Village (PCV) Saturday afternoon.
The suspect was an unarmed male who physically assaulted the victim and tried to take his cell phone, University Police Department (UPD) Commander Brenda Trobaugh said. He was unsuccessful and fled the scene wearing a maroon hoodie and black jeans.
The suspect has not been found, but UPD is working with San Luis Obispo Police Department and California Highway Patrol to find him.
There were no surveillance cameras at the scene of the attempted robbery, but UPD is using the cameras in PCV to try to find the suspect.
