The Cal Poly Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) Board of Directors met at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Topics discussed included greek life, campus safety and The Mustang Way.
- All 16 Interfraternity Council fraternities have unanimously endorsed Relay for Life as the official philanthropy for Cal Poly fraternities. They will continue to maintain their own philanthropies specific to each fraternity as well.
- There will be a “safety walk” through campus Thursday, beginning at 6 p.m. at Facilities (building 70). Students are welcome to participate in the walk-through, which will focus on determining whether campus areas are well-lit or need increased lighting.
- “The Mustang Way” — an ASI-adopted list of principles and ideas Cal Poly students exemplify — has officially become a subbrand of Cal Poly, meaning it will now follow the university’s branding guidelines.
- ASI is moving forward with a proposal for a vending cart outside of the Recreation Center.
- There will be concerts at sunset on Fridays in the Julian A. McPhee University Union Plaza next quarter, as well as concerts at the Recreation Center pool deck on Saturdays. No acts have been confirmed yet.
- The second annual Mustang Mile will be on April 24.
