Cal Poly university police were recently informed of an alleged assault that occurred last night around 8:30 p.m. in the Grand Avenue parking structure, according to a crime alert email sent to Cal Poly students.
According to the detailed update on the University Police Department website, the victim was on the second floor of structure when the incident occurred. The suspect approached the victim from behind and pulled them to the ground. The victim then punched the assaulter and escaped.
The victim did not sustain any injuries.
The suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall, 190-pound white male with short, curly brown hair. He was wearing a maroon hoodie sweatshirt at the time, according to the report.
