In the wake of bad publicity that followed the Cal Poly Salsa Club fliers that sadly ended in a censorship issue … (hey, I’m not at all suggesting that we emulate Berkeley or anything, but what about the First Amendment? Were all the political science majors on a field trip that day?) … I’ve witnessed a brave new movement about campus recently. It looks as if the Cal Poly College Republicans were not intimidated by the “sexualization” issue and have held to the time-honored tradition of using a few cute women to generate positive advertising during this upcoming election term. With a cowboy theme and a shoot-em’-up attitude, sometimes it just might work to put a simple message behind a few politically-minded young women with a nice set of guns.
