Students took a break from studying for finals today and decorated cookies at the Craft Center in the Julian A. McPhee University Union.
“I think its fun, it’s a good break on your Thursday. It’s a good stress reliever. Everyone loves free cookies, so it’s fun to see what people make, too,” business administration sophomore Arin Miller said.
“Dead week” is around the corner, and decorating cookies is one way for students to relieve stress.
“Me and some of my friends heard there was cookie-making going on, and decided it might be fun to try out,” computer science freshman Jacob Garcia said.
After all, stressed spelled backwards is desserts.
“There’s free cookies, and people came out and connect over food. I like food, so it’s pretty cool,” nutrition freshman Kelly Packwood said.
If you missed out on the cookies today, don’t worry — Associated Students, Inc. is hosting another event on Monday, March 17. It’s called “Finals Fun,” and there will be cookies, coffee and hot chocolate at Harmon Hall in the Christopher Cohan Performing Arts Center.
