1. Laugh it up: SLO Comedy Festival set for this weekend
This is not a joke. The 4th annual SLO Comedy Festival returns to San Luis Obispo this weekend, with 48 comedians from across the nation providing laughs.
2. Alleged assault reported on campus
On Tuesday at approximately 8:30 p.m., an assault allegedly occurred in the Grand Avenue parking structure, according to a crime alert email sent to Cal Poly students. The aggressor is reported to be a 6-foot-tall, 190-pound white male with short, curly brown hair.
3. Professor gender gap a work in progress
If you’ve ever wondered about the lack of female faculty at Cal Poly, that’s because women make up only 37 percent of professors. Cal Poly and many other universities across the nation are experiencing disproportionate ratios along with unequal pay for women and minorities.
4. At least 3 students running for ASI president
As the deadline to file paperwork nears, look out for these three candidates: political science senior Joi Sullivan, civil engineering junior Connor Paquin and agricultural business junior Jacob Rogers. Let the race begin.
